The JK6 bench is modern urban furniture featuring simple, geometric shapes that create an inviting place to sit.

The clean look is created by a horizontal slatted seat supported by legs in the form of two rounded rectangles. Collectively these elements form a harmonious and stylish bench that exudes quality.

The JK6 bench was designed by architect Jørgen Klinkby, who puts specific emphasis on combining shapes to produce an easily understandable whole with a clear function. He also designed the JK6 table & bench set, with a table identical in design to the bench, and the JK6 bench serves as seating. Why not combine stand-alone benches with one or more table & bench sets? This creates a coherent look and also provides a variety of options for users of the outdoor setting.

Modern-look bench without backrest

The JK6 bench is made from materials that will stand up to outdoor use for many years to come. The legs are made from flat steel that is hot-dip galvanised. They can also be powder-coated. Powder coating takes place at our own facility in Kolding, Denmark, meaning we have full control over quality. All our steel components are hot-dip galvanised before powder coating, which serves as extra protection against rust. Powder coating is available in any RAL colour.

The slats are untreated or oil-treated FSC®-certified mahogany. Both options are similarly durable, but will weather differently. Untreated mahogany takes on a silver-grey patina over time, while with regular oiling you can preserve the warm, dark glow of the wood.

JK6 is also available with slats in pressure-treated pine (nordic).

The JK6 bench is supplied for bolting to the ground. It can also be free-standing on paving stones or grass. With the rounded flat steel legs resting against the ground, the JK6 bench is suited to both soft and hard surfaces.
