The COSI bench provides comfy seating and an attractive addition to the urban landscape with mahogany slats supported by rust-red corten-steel legs. The expansive, clean lines of the design make this a sculptural bench. The choice of materials makes it durable and robust for public spaces..

The strong, square slats that give the bench its character are comfortably rounded at the front.

It is available in numerous versions, each with its own appeal as urban seating.

The free-standing bench is available in two lengths – 2000 mm and 3000 mm. The long model offers the option of a backrest, which gives a completely different look. It runs along two thirds of the length, while the rest of the bench offers new options and possibilities for users.

The COSI bench is also available as a model for installing on concrete bases. In this case the distinctive square slats of the COSI design are installed on the concrete base by means of a bracket.

In addition, the COSI bench is available for wall mounting. The wall-mounted COSI bench is four slats wide, with fixings concealed under the seat.

Bench for urban settings in a modern, Danish design

In addition to the COSI bench and COSI table and bench set, the COSI range features a park bench with backrest. This is also available with armrests. The range has been designed by Danish architects Cobe Arkitekter in 2022.

The COSI range is characterised by its simple materials – mahogany (FSC®-certified) and corten steel – which create a distinctive look and make this furniture robust and easy to maintain.

The large corten steel surfaces require no maintenance. Corten steel is an alloy that is designed to rust on the surface. The rusting process ceases after a few months of exposure to wind and weather. This outermost layer subsequently keeps out moisture, salt, etc.

The bench is also available in hot-dip galvanised steel or powder-coated, hot-dip galvanised steel.

The smooth wooden seat is supplied untreated as standard in its natural colour. Over time it will weather to a silvery-grey patina. If you wish to preserve the warm glow of the wood, the slats can be treated regularly with oil.

Stand-alone COSI benches can be cemented in or bolted to the ground. Please contact us for guidance for wall mounting of COSI benches or installing on concrete bases. The data sheet in the box lists the weights of the various models.

COSI incorporates a long-term perspective. The furniture is timeless and has been created from durable materials in order to provide a product that is long-lasting and more sustainable in a variety of ways. The design ensures that it’s easy to replace any of the slats if needed.

Re-use and recycling at the end of the product’s useful life have already been planned for. COSI furniture is ‘made for disassembly’ – i.e. it’s simple to take apart – and can therefore easily form part of circular resource planning.
