COSI is a table and bench set that combines corten steel and mahogany in a simple design with clean lines. The table is corten steel throughout, while the benches have a corten-steel frame with seats made of mahogany (FSC®-certified). The COSI table and bench set provides an appealing spot to sit and chat in urban environments. It can be used, for example, in parks, residential areas, communal outdoor areas and outside institutions.

The timeless design is backed up by the long useful life of the materials. The set is robust, durable and maintenance-free.

The table and bench set is part of the COSI range, which also includes a park bench with backrest, a bench with 2/3 backrest and benches for wall mounting and concrete bases.

The table is 2000 mm long. The benches are available in lengths of 1200 mm and 2000 mm. The benches in the set are narrower than the free-standing COSI bench. They are four slats wide, while the free-standing benches have six slats.

The COSI table and bench set is installed by simply placing it on the ground. It can also be bolted to the ground. Finally, it can be supplied in a model for cementing in.

The COSI range has been designed by architects Cobe Arkitekter from Denmark in 2022 with a focus on ease of use and materials with a long useful life.

The table is made from corten sheeting. Hot items can be placed directly on the table for communal dining. The choice of materials also makes COSI robust and vandal-proof for use in urban settings.

The large corten-steel surfaces are rust-red in colour and require no maintenance. Corten steel is an alloy that is designed to rust on the surface. The rusting process ceases after a few months of exposure to wind and weather. This outermost layer subsequently keeps out moisture, salt, etc.

The set is also available in hot-dip galvanised steel or powder-coated, hot-dip galvanised steel. The table top will then be in stainless steel or powder-coated, stainless steel.

The smooth wooden seat is supplied untreated as standard in its natural colour. Over time it will weather to a silvery-grey patina. If you wish to preserve the warm glow of the wood, the slats can be treated regularly with oil.

COSI incorporates a long-term perspective. The furniture is timeless and has been created from durable materials in order to provide a product that is long-lasting and more sustainable in a variety of ways. The design ensures that it’s easy to replace any of the slats if needed.

Re-use and recycling at the end of the product’s useful life have already been planned for. COSI furniture is ‘made for disassembly’ – i.e. it’s simple to take apart – and can therefore easily form part of circular resource planning.
