The MP bench (with no backrest) has been designed for urban spaces. This circular bench can be incorporated into the urban landscape; as a very wide bench it can help to define the space and add a recreational feel.

The flexible shape means that MP can form a framework for both play and seating. If you sit round the outside of the bench, you can follow the activity going on all around, while in the inner space you can turn your back and immerse yourself in a conversation or games.

MP is available in three sizes: MP3, MP4 and MP5. The diameters are, respectively, 3200 mm, 4000 mm and 6000 mm.

All three sizes can be supplied with a back rest. The back rest is designed to match the curves of the bench. Place one or more back rest modules on the bench. On MP3 and MP4, the back rest is placed on the inner curve of the circle. On the largest bench, MP6, there is room to sit on both sides of the back rest.

The back rest is wedge shaped, to make it comfortable to lean on. The back rest has a clean, simplistic look that matches the rest of the bench.

MP has been designed by MASU Planning, who are known for their innovative, distinctive style. They develop design solutions strongly rooted in Nordic design traditions and a shared cultural history, and use the design to construct spatial narratives, grounded in robustness, sensory experiences and inclusive materials.

Circular wooden bench for parks and urban spaces

MP is a robust and elegant bench with stylish details. The frame is made from hot-dip galvanised steel at our own facilities. You can choose to stick with the grey, galvanised finish, or opt for a powder-coated frame in a colour of your choice. In other words, you determine the look of your MP bench.

All the steel components in our products are hot-dip galvanised, which provides several benefits: steel in itself is a robust material, and our hot-dip galvanising process gives the frame a very hard-wearing surface. It also means that the steel frame is self-repairing in the event of minor damage. And it requires minimal maintenance. At the same time hot-dip galvanising extends the useful life of products several times over.

The wooden slats of MP are either wedge-cut oak or FSC®-certified mahogany. Both types of wood are highly durable and require very little maintenance.

MP is an extremely elegant bench that enhances the overall look of the outdoor space. Combining several of the benches in a variety of sizes in the same area creates a particularly stylish overall impression.
