The WOOD is an attractive and stylish bollard made of azobé wood. The azobé wood gives this single, square bollard an exclusive appearance, which is reinforced by a steel metal strip that runs all the way from the bottom up to and around the top of the WOOD.

The design studio VE2 from Aarhus are the creative team behind the design of the bollard. It is particularly suitable for use in places where you wish to achieve a natural and exclusive look.

The WOOD is also available as a bicycle bollard, the WOOD C. Combining the two creates a nicely uniform look in the outdoor space.

The WOOD Bollard can be used to mark out an area at the end of a parking space, for example, to indicate that the parking space ends here. Or to separate areas such as cycle paths or pathways from each another.

Bollard made of sturdy materials

Azobé is also known as ironwood. Over time, azobé wood acquires furrows and cracks which add character to the WOOD, both in an urban setting and when it is placed in natural surroundings.

Azobé has a high content of natural oils, which means the wood can withstand being left out in any kind of weather, even in environments that have a high salt content. The bollard can be partly submerged in the ground. This type of wood is often used in building work along seafronts and along water – and the WOOD Bollard is extremely suitable for this type of location.

The WOOD is available in untreated azobé, which will acquire a beautiful silver-grey patina in time. If you wish, you can treat the wood with oil, so that it will retain its dark appearance.

Whether you treat the azobé wood or not, its level of durability will remain the same.

The metal strip that adorns WOOD is made of hot-dip galvanised steel. If you wish, you can choose to have the metal strip powder-coated in a RAL colour of your choice.

The WOOD is 90 cm tall and 120 x 120 mm thick. It is fitted by embedding it in concrete.
