SYV is an innovative bicycle stand with an angled shape that keeps the saddle dry. It adds a sculptural touch to the urban landscape and sends a clear signal indicating a bike-friendly location.

In other words, SYV is perfect for locations where you ideally want to offer dry bicycle parking, but don’t have space for a bicycle shelter.

SYV is designed for bikes to be wheeled in under the horizontal top panel. The bike can be locked directly to the stand using a chain lock. The stand also has a cable and ring attached, which can be used with a Basta-type lock on the rear wheel.

The stand itself forms a simple seven shape. A large, cut-out symbol clearly indicates the function of the stand. At the same time the stand is a decorative feature that blends with its surroundings, allowing them to be glimpsed through the cut-out symbol.

SYV has been designed by Moving Spaces and was originally created for the town hall in Furesø Municipality.

Bicycle stand in any RAL colour

A row of SYV bicycle stands provides orderly bicycle parking, all lined up stable and in parallel against their stands. We recommend a centre-to-centre distance of 1000 mm between the individual stands. There should be 1.5 m clearance for pedestrians behind the stand. If siting SYV with its front towards a wall, the distance to the wall should be 800 mm to allow space for the front wheel.

SYV is made from steel plate, which is hot-dip galvanised for better durability. The standard cut-out in the panel is a bike symbol. However, we can also offer the option of a city or corporate logo or other symbol.

SYV can be powder-coated in any RAL colour. Powder-coated products are always hot-dip galvanised first. The coating then serves as extra protection against rust.

Promoting cycling by means of good bicycle parking and other facilities for cyclists

Here at HITSA we have been working on products to promote cycling since the company was founded in 1954. We are cycling enthusiasts and support pedal power as an obvious solution to congestion and CO2 problems and as a health benefit.

Consequently, we supplement our bicycle racks and bicycle bollards with other products to make life easier for cyclists. In addition to bicycle shelters and covered bicycle parking, we also offer air pumps and a footrest for use at traffic lights.
