The BARREL tree grille comes in four parts, is made from cast iron and can be combined in a variety of ways.
It is a large, roomy cast-iron grille that ensures effective protection for the tree’s roots and the surrounding surface layer.
The four parts form either a circle or a square around the trunk of the tree. The pieces are loose and can be combined as needed to suit nearby buildings and the surface layer. It measures 1245 x 1245 mm as a complete square or Ø 1245 mm as a complete circle.
BARREL is supplied powder-coated in RAL 9005 (black) as standard. We can supply the grille in any RAL colour, so that it can be matched with the design concept of a particular municipality or business.
This tree grille can be supplied with irrigation holes.
BARREL is our own design. It can, for example, be combined with PIKE as a tree guard.
Cast iron is a highly durable material that can stand up to all kinds of weather. The grille is robust and very easy to maintain. Powder coating protects the iron against rust.
Trees and plants help to beautify the urban landscape and create attractive, green towns and cities. However, urban trees are also exposed to more wear and stresses than trees in natural surroundings would normally be. Therefore they need protection to ensure the best possible growing conditions.
The BARREL grille prevents the soil around the tree trunk from being compacted and provides favourable conditions to allow rainwater to penetrate and supply the tree with the water it needs to grow.
