Design HITSA

The VESSEL tree grille has been designed with both protection of the tree and the visual look of the urban space in mind. VESSEL is a fairly simple, robust grille made from solid cast iron. It is made up of three identical elements that collectively form a circle around the trunk.

VESSEL has an external diameter of 1 metre. The cast iron is solid and durable and will stand up to all kinds of weather. It requires minimal maintenance, and thanks to its weight the grille will remain securely in place.

We supply it powder-coated in RAL 9005 (black) as standard. Please contact us if you require something other than a powder-coated finish. As powder coating of products takes place at our own painting facility in Kolding, we can supply VESSEL in any colour to blend with the specific setting and any other urban furniture nearby.

Tree grille in solid cast iron

VESSEL is HITSA’s own design. It is the simplest of the tree grilles in HITSA’s range. The aim with VESSEL was to create a very simple tree grille that subtly blends in with the surrounding outdoor space.

Simple cast-iron grille for urban spaces

Urban trees make for greener towns and cities. However, they are not natural growing environments for trees, and as a result urban trees are more exposed to wear and tear than trees in natural surroundings.

Tree grilles protect the soil around the tree, ensuring favourable growing conditions for the tree and an optimal supply of rainwater.
