New electric-bike charging station helps smooth the way for cyclists

This week, HITSA is expanding its wide range of cycling products with a product specifically for electric bikes. The BORCH electric-bike charging station is a public charging station that can be set up anywhere to provide a useful facility for cyclists and attract cycle tourists.

The BORCH charging station is easy to use. It is not necessary to bring your own charger. Cyclists can simply pull out the relevant connector and connect it directly to their battery. The charging station offers four different 36V connectors, covering a wide range of electric bike brands.

“We are seeing huge growth in electric cycling, and electric bikes have made it possible for many people to choose a bike over a car for day-to-day transport. Consequently, as a major supplier of products to promote cycling, it seemed obvious for us to develop a public charging station for electric bikes,” says Thomas Johnsen, Sales Manager at HITSA.

“It was important to HITSA that our electric-bike charging station have an appealing look. And so we asked Danish design studio VE2 to design a charging station featuring the same attractive Nordic style as the rest of the BORCH range,” says Thomas.
