Budolfi square in Aalborg has become a green oasis for relaxation and social interaction, with benches, reclined seating and bicycle parking from HITSA.
When Aalborg municipality began its transformation of the square back in 2016, its vision was to create “a welcoming urban environment and a new destination for local residents and visitors alike”. The setting, designed by urban and landscape design agency byMUNCH, links together pedestrian zones and creates a vibrant urban space in the heart of Aalborg.
HITSA has developed the specially designed reclined seating in collaboration with landscaping firm OKNygaard. The furniture is large enough to allow several people to sit together and chat. They are 1 metre wide and also serve as a design element, adding focal points to this urban garden setting.
COMFORT benches and seats are dotted amongst the green islands in the square.
And for cyclists, NOAH bicycle racks have been installed, with LOCKT lock brackets, making it easy to lock your bike frame securely to the stand.
