With its appealing colours and W-shaped frame, the HAW table and bench set gives urban spaces an attractive and well-designed look. Outdoor furniture that is sure to tempt people outside with its colours and aesthetics.

HAW is a free-standing connected table and bench set that can be positioned as you choose. It is 1900 mm in length and is available in four different versions, depending how you mix and match the steel and wood components. Choose an all-steel set for strong colour perception and stylish perforation details. Or combine with mahogany seats and/or table top for appealing interaction between materials, textures and colours. The wooden table top features slats in two different widths, creating aesthetic appeal.

This playful, organic design has been created by Studio Hammer, founded by architect Bjarne Hammer in 2021 to focus on sustainable design.

Colourful table and bench set

The selection of available colours for the HAW table and bench set is attractive and appealing to the eye. They enhance the character of the urban space and draw users to take a seat here. If you opt for wood, the mahogany slats blend pleasingly with the colour of the W-shaped frame.

With its tabletop width of 650 mm, HAW is a sociable design that brings users a little closer together than a standard table and bench set. This gives a sense of intimacy, while at the same time allowing plenty of space on the table top for alfresco dining and coffee. The perforations in the steel plate are 27 mm in diameter, so even small glasses, bottles and other items will stand securely on the table. To further enhance this detail for users, the edges of the perforations are bevelled inwards.

Maintenance-free table and bench set

The materials selected are high quality and robust for outdoor use, ensuring HAW is a low-maintenance table and bench set. The steel version is made from hot-dip galvanised, powder-coated steel; this combination of surface treatments provides double protection against rust. The wooden version also has a frame made from hot-dip galvanised, powder-coated steel, with FSC®-certified mahogany slats that will stand up to rain, sun and wind for many years to come. If you wish to preserve the reddish-brown colour of the wood, you can do so by treating it regularly with oil (find out more on our ‘Use, maintenance and disposal’ page). Otherwise, the wood will weather to a silvery-grey patina over time.

This table and bench set is delivered as flatpack and is easy to assemble (see the mounting instructions). It is also easy to set up, as it does not require bolting down or any other installation. The HAW set is movable, if needs change. Depending on the materials chosen, HAW weighs from 93 to 110 kg.
